Joseph E. Ries, IV

Joseph E. Ries, IV is First Vice President/Investments with the Ries Financial Group. As a financial advisor with many years of experience, Joe has achieved a distinguished career in the financial services industry based on two key principles: putting his clients’ interests first and providing exceptional personal service.
Joe began his career with Prudential Securities in 1996. He spent nearly a decade at Legg Mason. In August 2006, he joined Ryan Beck & Co. as a First Vice President and continues as First Vice President/Investments with Stifel Nicolaus.
As a licensed Financial Advisor, Joe focuses on Retirement Planning, 401(k) and Safe Harbor 401(k), Educational Funding, and hedging strategies to augment traditional portfolio investment allocations. During his tenure with the firm, Joe has been recognized for his financial experience and dedication to the principles of sound investing. Joe holds the designation of ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant) through The American College.
A Maryland native, Joe grew up in Baltimore and went to school in Towson. He serves on the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation Board of Directors and is treasurer of the John Carroll High School Parent Association. Joe moved to Harford County in 1986 and currently lives in the Forest Hill area with his wife, Debra, and two children, Ryan and Carlee. His son, Ryan, is an Athletic Training major in college, and Joe spends his free time cheering for Carlee as she plays multiple sports for her high school.
Daniel G. Wright, Branch Manager
Strengths in compliance, charitable giving, estate planning strategies
Daniel G. Wright began his career in the financial services industry in 2001, working first as a compliance officer, then as operations manager of Legg Mason’s flagship branch in downtown Baltimore. Concurrently, he earned FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 63, and 65 licenses, as well as life/health Insurance licenses. Dan followed his thirst for knowledge about finance and planning becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant.
In August 2004, Dan joined the Ries Financial Group as a Financial Advisor, practicing his client-first philosophy and combining his talents with those of the other team members to consistently strive to exceed clients’ expectations. He joined Stifel Nicolaus in June 2007 through its merger with Ryan Beck & Company. He also is the Branch Manager for the Bel Air office of Stifel Nicolaus.
Dan is a Maryland native, living in Abingdon with his wife, Heidi, and their son, Isaac. He is active in his church and teaches Biblical Stewardship in the community. Dan also devotes time to raising awareness of Osteogenesis Imperfecta and enjoys family time and reading.
Heather L. Dardamanis, Registered Client Service Associate
Heather Dardamanis has been a Registered Client Service Associate with the Ries Financial Group for over eight years. Joining Legg Mason in May 1997, Heather began her career as the Branch Office Coordinator for Legg Mason Financial Partners. Heather earned several industry licenses while with LMFP, including her FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses. She also holds life/ health insurance licenses. In 2004, Heather (along with co-worker Jennifer Snyder) was an inaugural winner of the James W. Brinkley Moment of Truth Award, Legg Mason's highest award for outstanding customer service. Heather joined Stifel Nicolaus in June 2007 through its merger with Ryan Beck.
Heather graduated from Towson University, not far from where she grew up in Baltimore County, Maryland. At Towson, Heather earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing. Heather moved to Harford County, Maryland in 1999 and currently lives in Forest Hill with her husband, Chris, and daughter, Eva. In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family. Her hobbies include cooking, scrapbooking, and interior design.
Jennifer L. Snyder, Registered Client Service Associate
Jennifer Snyder has been a Client Service Associate with The Ries Financial Group since May 2001. Prior to her Legg Mason career, Jenn spent time in the insurance side of the industry at State Farm Insurance. Jenn holds her FINRA Series 7 and 66 Licenses, as well as property/casualty and life/health insurance licenses. She also has been a Notary Public since 1997. In 2004 (along with co-worker Heather Dardamanis) Jenn was an inaugural winner of the James W. Brinkley Moment of Truth Award, the highest award given at Legg Mason for outstanding client service. Jenn joined Stifel Nicolaus in June 2007 through its merger with Ryan Beck.
Jenn earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Harford Community College. A Harford County, Maryland native, Jenn spends her free time with her husband, Dave, and their children, Dylan and Emma. She enjoys working in her children’s classrooms, helping with their recreational sports teams, photography, scrapbooking, and traveling.
